What is the methodology for calculating the dispute rate? Is it per-transaction disputes, or does a single customer disputing multiple items in one order count as one dispute? Also, are disputes filed through the escrow system counted differently from chargebacks?

Good questions. Dispute rate is calculated as: (unique dispute incidents / total orders) × 100. A customer disputing 3 items in one order counts as one dispute incident. Both escrow disputes and chargebacks are counted, but they are tracked separately in the raw data. The methodology section in the full report breaks this down in detail.

GreenLeaf's 0.3% dispute rate is impressive for the volume they are doing. That is roughly 1 dispute per 333 orders. Their consistency is what sets them apart — they have maintained above 4.8 for six consecutive quarters now. I would like to see more vendors learn from their shipping practices.

ShadowDeals should be more than just "under review" at this point. Five dispute escalations in a single month is a pattern, not an anomaly. They used to be reliable — something changed. I hope the mods are looking into whether ownership of the account has changed hands.
