Updated Community Guidelines

We are implementing the following changes effective immediately:

  1. Vendor verification: All new vendors must now complete a 7-day probationary period before accepting orders.
  2. Dispute resolution: The mandatory escrow window has been extended from 48 hours to 72 hours for transactions over $500.
  3. Account security: Two-factor authentication is now strongly recommended for all vendor accounts.

Full details are available in the updated Community Guidelines v2.4. If you have questions, reply below or reach out to the moderation team directly.

Moderation team acknowledgment received. The new vendor probationary period is a solid addition — we have been seeing a spike in fraudulent vendor accounts and this will help filter them before they can do real damage. I will be updating my enforcement notes accordingly.

Quick question — does the 7-day vendor probation apply retroactively to existing vendors who have not yet been verified, or only to new signups? I have a vendor account from late 2023 that I never formally verified because the system did not require it at the time.

Good question. The probation period only applies to new vendor accounts created after today. Existing verified vendors are unaffected. However, we will be rolling out a voluntary re-verification process over the next 30 days — vendors who complete it will receive a "Verified" badge on their profiles.

Appreciate the transparency report as always. The extended escrow window for higher-value transactions is a welcome change. Last month I had a dispute that barely fit in the 48-hour window. Good work, team.
